my story
Karli grew up in the small beach town of Lewes, Delaware. She moved away from home to attend James Madison University, where she earned a bachelors degree in International Affairs. She always dreamed of traveling the world and in 2022 she bought a one way ticket to Thailand, and started her journey of traveling to nine countries on her own. She has met some interesting characters along the way—some who have inspired some of the poems in this book. As an avid observer of the human experience, Karli’s home changes from month to month as she searches for her next adventure; whether it be motorbiking in northern Vietnam or living on a deserted island off of the coast of Indonesia.
